Firm Overview

Bernard Nevas opened the first office of what was to become our firm in Norwalk in 1929. Leo Nevas joined him in 1936, opened an office in Westport and has led us for many years, taking over after his brother’s death. A former Judge and a community leader in real estate, business and an expert with non-profit organizations, Leo’s reputation extends far beyond Westport.

We provide an extra measure of personal attention and the highest quality of legal services. Our office is in Westport but we know our Region, State and have experience that is national and international. Edward Capasse, a Westport native and community leader, joined us at the pinnacle of his legal career and continues to be an active participant in our firm. Jamie Gerard, who began her legal career in the Connecticut court system, brings more than 21 years of experience to her work. Stephen Nevas covered the U.S. Supreme Court for CNN and NBC News before joining us and has had substantial experience with copyrights and trademarks. James Kosakow, of Counsel, is recognized for his expertise at estate and tax planning.
